Bosch Automotive CARnival 2011
20 August 2011: Students Care Service (SCS) is grateful to Robert Bosch (SEA) Pte Ltd (Automotive Aftermarket) for selecting SCS as the beneficiary for their Automotive CARnival. Bosch’s Automotive CARnival was held in conjunction with its 125th anniversary celebration on 20 August 2011 at the Playground@Big Splash.
It was a highly successful event for Bosch as it secured a place in the Singapore Book of Records for the “Longest distance recorded on a treadmill in 6 hours” as part of it’s celebration and fundraising effort. SCS congratulates Bosch and its employees for achieving this remarkable record-breaking feat.
Funds were raised for SCS through pledges secured from the runners and staff of Bosch in Singapore for this record-breaking treadmill run. Proceeds from other activities in the CARnival such as the waterless car wash, massage service, balloon sculpting and henna painting also contributed to the fund-raising initiative. Bosch matched dollar-for-dollar on the funds raised. All in, Bosch raised S$21,000 for SCS!
It was also an unforgettable day for our youths who were invited to entertain the crowd at the event.
SCS takes this opportunity to thank the management and staff of Bosch (Automotive Aftermarket) for their kind thoughts, efforts and time in organizing the fund raising activities in support of our work to help the children and youths from disadvantaged backgrounds.
We look forward to the continued partnership with Bosch!
